We have a med large goldfish who has expanded many times over. Poor thing looks as though it will pop. It has been this way for approx. 2 weeks. I don't recall ever seeing this in any of our other fish in the pond. Please help. It still gets around the pond ok but I'm concerned.
Thanks
Your goldfish is probably "dropsy" (from Hydropisy)... It's a severe disease caused by poor water condition.
Usually you have to use Octozin or similar medication...
When they become colorless, that's because a bacteria, AEROMONAS HYDROPHYLA, is present in the water...
The guy apparently didn't appreciate our help, Francis.
