I would appreciate some assistance with the following
239 Across Yeomen of the Guard commander E?O?
I have exhausted all avenues and do not have a clue what the answer might be. Help would be greatly appreciated solving this clue.
Unfortunately the ?'s do not form part of any of the Down clues, and are stand alone.
Still plugging away at the rest of the Puzzle. ;-)
Thanks in advance.

Maybe you are looking for this:
EXON: "(In Britain) one of four yeomen of the guard who act as commanding officers in the absence of higher authority. Also called EXEMPT."

Thanks for that. A quick search and Exon definitely does seem to fit.
I tried various combinations but did not think of Exon.
Thanks for that.

I am just about on the homestretch with this crossword puzzle.
But the following is giving me a bit of trouble.
I would appreciate some help.
51D Satellite bowls A D?S??S I put DISCUS
71A Deception A C?A? Sham or Scam I had in mind
But as the C of Discus is the beginning of 71A that means the above does not fit.
Assistance here would be great as obviously I have got something not quite right.

Further to my last post.
I just had a thought could 51 D Satellite Bowl be DISHES ??
71A Deception would then be HOAX
Could someone confirm if that may be correct?
Thanks for that.
