Dlowan could have a wonderful coast-to-coast tour without every sleeping in a hotel bed (possibly never sleeping in a bed without dog hair).

That's certainly true, I know the girl has a vast expanse of places to stay if she ever makes it over here. The plane ticket is a whopper - plus, what used to happen to me, I had no income when I took vacations. Killer for the bills - not sure if that would affect Dlowan.

Additionally, it is hard to flit from people to people. I do it when I go to LA. I start to forget what I said of my life to whom and what they said to me back. Craziness, one needs one's own space at some point, however welcoming people are.

Although... when I moved to Albuquerque, it was quite sane landing at Dys and Diane's - they are sort of like extensions of myself, no need for gearing up to deal.

You were talking on another thread about someone to work/study with over here, Dlowan. If you pursue that, you'd have support nationwide.

Well, anyway, I'm sure your lottery winnings will help.

9500,00 at current exchange rates = $1598458 Aud

top marginal tax rate 60% leaves $639,383

10% gst leaves $575444

stamp duty on monetary tranfers, bank fees,

leaves $523159

investment advisors fee 2% $512695

exgratia payment to Tony Mokbel (wherever he may be)
leaves $49325.00

hardly worth having really.
Tell you what, transfer the winnings a special account in the Bahamas that I can set up for you and we can avoid all that. Then you just draw down as required for dogs bowls, beets, roots, hamster wheels or whatever.
of course there will be a small fee for service nothing to worry about25% each transaction

just sign here..X.............................

Osso--

I know what you mean. I used to be able to bounce from Guest Bed to Guest Bed, appreciating each successive household as a New Adventure.

No more. I'd probably opt for a Red Roof Inn for every two freebies.

Deb, a visit to the States would be quite in order. Our guest room or a motel, you would love New Mexico. Besides, you are younger than we are and you could make the long trip much more easily than Dys and I.

There is plenty of land for sale in New Mexico. I don't happen to know where such land is located, but there are real estate agents who specialise in invisible land sales. I think they all moved here from Florida. Anyway, they would be more than happy to take some of that money off your hands in return for land in the most desolate, rattle snake-ridden parts of the country imaginable. Forget DadPad--he sounds far too honest. Let him come out for a visit without a hat and he will be toughened up enough to sell invisible real estate.

Actually, please just come for a visit.
