The lord's street looks too-too-tudor, but for real, or a much higher level of the form. Tootootudor was a snide remark we used to make about some recent southern california houses... Some areas of LA were great for aping aspects of architectures past, and some of those were really good buildings.
I don't mean to sound snide myself, I like play in architecture.
My own area is faux Territorial housing of the cheapest manifestation, pfui.
Back with a link on territorial.
Osso, has your computer got a stutter?
Methinks Osso has chucked the aforementioned computer out of the window.
Who me? I don't mean to fun at those houses, I think they're wonderful.
I'm funning at Tudors in southern California. '
Tut, tut, tootsy, Goodbye...
HA! You're still there, Osso.
I was referring to the fact that you did the same post three times, and that it was your computer that was at fault, so you bunged it out the window (see prev. page).
I know you were joking.
(personally, I hate over the top mock tudor as well)
I did? Good grief. Beg your pardon.
I have many flaws, but I haven't double or triple posted since my new Mac, until now, that I know of. Sad day.
I'll go down after a cup of coffee and two toasts with Frank Cooper's Original to make some actual shots ...
Okay, our road looks so this morning
Since there a pedestrian/bicycle lane between the end of several cul-de-sacs and the houses directly facing the park, at which we are situated as well (and we backwards face another road, too), here's that
The road on the back - pic taken from the terrace/balcony and includes the view on Mrs Walter's and my bicycles:
Walter, your road looks exactly like the road outside my brother's house in Eastern France. Lots of high, neatly clipped fir hedges and small ornamental fir trees in the gardens.
Pop across the border into Switzerland and it's just the same. Lots of greenery and very well maintained.
Unfortunately, my bruv has noticed a trend towards the local people ripping out the hedges, and replacing them with big electric gates (which he is trained to fit). He tries to talk them into having swing style gates, so as to avoid any hedge ripping, but they seem to want to go for the sliding gates, which require a trench to be dug, right along the hedge line.
Shame.
A night view of a street just nearby.
The end is the Ginkaku temple.

My Street. My two girls and the couch they liberated from somewhere or other. (I aint askin' they aint tellin').
Mine is a simple road, not much to see really...
Just around the bend you will find my swamp and sometimes on a sunny day you might see a capybara or two basking in the middle of the road.
I have to honk my horn and they scamper away.
Is that Brokeback mountain, Gus?
Beautiful this time of year.
Which is your bedroom window?
The one that's boarded up, smorgs. He had too many girls climb into
the window, so purely in selfprotection he had to board it up.

Actually it's boarded to keep them from climbing OUT.
No one has any speed bumps on their road. I have a speed bump right in front of my house. Sometimes someone will drive over it at 50 miles an hour after mid-night, guess they must be drunk.
Makes me laugh and laugh because they just ruined something important under their car.
