Orbit refers to an object that undergoes uniform acceleration due to gravity from another object, causing it to travel in a repeating circular path around the object. For example, the Moon orbits the Earth.

Revolution refers to 1 cycle of an orbit. When the moon goes around the Earth 1 time, it has made 1 revolution.

While the moon is orbitting the Earth, it is spinning on it's own axis. The Earth also spins. We refer to the spinning as rotation.

Period is another word associated with orbit and it refers to the amount of time that it takes for an orbitting object to make 1 revolution.
