Now, while I will bow to no man in my absolute devotion to well-seasoned escargots, I think there must be more to this thread than the devotional appreciation being shown to the food consumed. "I had lunch with Walter 8in Paris...it was very nice." That's it?? No gossipy tidbits? Nothing to add? Whatd you talk about, what'd you do aftterwards? C'mon, Francis, you're a far better raconteur than that.
