I just saw your video, Bill! You did that well. It looks like one of your instructors was applauding you.

Cool Urs.

Na Wandel; that was my camera man; he was paid to applaud me. Smile My instructors weren't terribly happy with the fact that I didn't do the 3 practice pulls I spent the morning rehearsing.

I work Sat but if you are going Sunday, I could definitely make a trip to East Troy.

I have wanted to skydive for a long time but all my friends are either too broke or too chickenshit to do it. (No offense anyone.)
Hey dude! Opportunity strikes again! August 1st this year, "JUMP for Juvenile Diabetes. Let me know if you can make this one!

@OCCOM BILL,
Do you have his email or phone #, Bill? He's seldom on A2K these days. I can send him a ping if you want.

@OCCOM BILL,
I wish I could but the timing is off again. I will be whitewater rafting the Arkansas river in Colorado.

If you're up for a different adventure I am going hang gliding in the Kankakee area sometime mid August. No set date yet waiting on my friends wife to give him the financial nod.

@shewolfnm,
My friend at work is talking about a road trip to see if texas toast really is bigger. I might just be up that way. Same guy drove to Canada for canadian bacon.

@sublime1,
great, the river is real nice along there (good fishing too) just enough white water to be a fun ride yet not enough to be dangerous. I used to kayak that stretch all the way down to Salida. Once I took 3 days and went from Buena Vista all the way down to my farm east of Canon City.

@dyslexia,
It is a three day trip, the first day is class 3, 2nd day is class 3 in morning and rock climbing and rappeling in the afternoon and the 3rd day is class 4 and 5 (the Gauntlet) looking forward to it. My only paddling experience is countless hours on a canoe in the BWCA, this should be a bit more intense.

After the rafting is another first, fly fishing. My Aunt has a spot picked and the gear. hope the learning curve isn't too high.

@sublime1,
Hang Gliding sounds awesome! Shoot the details over when you get your plans tightened up! I've never done that, but an angel told me it's awesome!

@Rockhead,
yeah, takes a lifetime to learn but that's a lifetime well spent. I really wish I could still go fly fishing again. Hell, I wish I could walk around the bloc again. So it goes.
