(Hey--start a fad. An "in" fad. Start calling mobile phones "walkie-talkies". It might not be original--it sems so obvious. But I've never heard it. It's a less clumsy phrase too. Sounds good. The TV's the "Idiot Box" and the radio is the "wireless". Or the "Squeaking Chips". Be at the cutting edge of "up there".
