Actually, this kind of idea is for taking on jobs working from other people's photographs - kind of a scrapbooking type service.
I've been working on a page of things like invitations and announcements and labels - stuff like that - that I can make for people. I'm trying to pad up the page before I publish it.
Chances are I would never be around to photograph an event like this, or a birthday party or something else that people have snapshots of that they don't really ever do anything with.
Honestly though, this thing was a beast to create. It required a lot of manipulation to get any kind of consistency in the colors and to distill and simplify each image down to something basic and graphic. I would have to charge a fortune to make any money at it at this point.
It was a good learning experience though!
I got the print in today and it really turned out cool. WAY better than I expected. I might end up putting one in my physical portfolio.
