A cycle race's main pack ?
Hi judygrove
Before I answer your question. Is this a clue from one of Lovatts crosswords? If so, it would help to state from which magazine, and the puzzle, e.g The Stinker, Demon etc.
Your answer is:
The peloton (from French, literally meaning ball and related to the English word platoon), bunch or pack is the large main group in a road bicycle race.
Hope this helps

Thank you so much Dutchy :wink: Maybe you might also know the answers to these two questions := from Lovatts Collossus Stinker No 105
A. Disraeli's Parlimentary Rival G??D?T??E
B. Vitamin A R?O?N?L
Hi Judigrove
A = GLADSTONE
B = RETINOL
You appear to have 146a wrong. EMBATTLED is the answer there. When you post again include 34a or 120d in your query, makes it easier to find.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for the handy tips. I have to get used to how the system works.
It helped a lot
Cheers Judy
