Oh no it's not! (He's behiiiind you).

Setting out about 8pm tonight (two hours or so?) ....all packed, taking a lot of my Mum's stuff from her home down to the farmhouse, so my boot (trunk) is filled with 2 tv's (small) a microwave, a small table, loads of old framed family photos, a strimmer (weedwhacker?) various heaps of towels, tablecloths and kitchen stuff, and an inflatable paddling pool(??).

My car now looks like the beginning sequence of the Beverley Hillbillies!

May get back on later, if I get time, but many thanks for all the suggestions....I've written up a new list, and will pass it on to the offspring.

Your trip reminds me of the only thing that makes me regret not living in Pom-land, or in that general vicinity.

Easy access to Europe and other countries! How nice to be able to drive to one's place in France. Here, no matter how far you drive - you're still in the same country.

I can fly for 3-4 hours and be in...tada...New Zealand! Australia with funny accents and worse weather, and 20 years behind!

But look out - I'm planning to make that 24 hour flight again next year!
