He's been on he lam from the New York State Police since April. They
will catch him but I hope they don't shoot him.

This reminds one of the folk-hero outlaws of the Depression/Dust Bowl days when people like Bonnie and Clyde, Pretty Boy Floyd and a host of others could find sanctuary in any run-down farmhouse. It was 'us' (the people) against 'them' (the authorities and government in general). And it's getting to be that way again. Gotta admire the pluck of a man like that. Broke out of jail with a can opener? More power to him!
That's pretty bizarre. Keep us informed, please.
