Is hate a healthy emotion sometimes?

While the high cost of "hate" can put us on a path of destruction, can we truely know the depth of love, without knowing the bitter taste of hate?

But I guess it's ok to hate certain things .... like broccoli or brussel sprouts.

I hate - voicemail menus that go on and on and on and on. And I hate thinking about a man in a Stetson and no underwear, when I have no where to immediately channel the energy provoked by that thought.

How can you hate Brussel Sprouts and like Brocoli? Brocoli tastes like field grown hay but only if it's steamed. You have to cover it with cheese to get any reasonable person to eat it, but brussel Sprouts are full of flavor. Nutty, cabbagey, going from sweet to tart and back again all in a single mouthful.

When fresh and cooked right (I prefer just barely flash steamed), broccoli has such a full flavor, it's almost meaty to me. Brussels sprouts taste like cabbage's bitter old uncle.

Sometimes it can be healthy to know our own boundaries.

Haha!

We need to have some sort of measure to gauge what is vital and what is trivial.
