rex - I don't know if we're ever directly addressed each other...but I've read a number of your posts.

I've found you to be very intelligent, and enjoy reading what you have to say.

I don't know what the issue is, and I won't pry.
Never say never....just take some time to regroup.

Thanks, you all know how to make someone feel better...

You Raise Me Up

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

I will not be using this particular thread much longer.

I feel it is insulting to A2K (the forum I have enjoyed participating in so very much.)

It is a responsibility and a privilege to be here with all of you beautiful people.

It doesn't matter that we all see eye to eye it just matters the fellowship and the camaraderie that we all share in leu of our differences.

If you ever see my posts turning bitter again you may assume it is not you but me... and that I have pulled another blunder in my personal life. Feel free to call me up on it and maybe I will come to my senses sooner rather than later.

I am not faultless, just brainless sometimes. Rolling Eyes

I will be the first to admit it, though sometimes unfortunately after I have made everyone's life miserable.

If it is not necessary, please don't respond to this last post.

I would like to see this particular thread fade into obscurity.

Maybe my ills will fade with it...

Rex

We both have the gift of venom... hehe

I heard some breeds of female snakes drop their young from trees while giving birth so their offspring do not turn on her, bite her and kill her.

Have you really been bitten by a real poisonous snake?

My sister and I used to bite each other when we were young.

Being a denison of the south-west I am more familiar with side-winders and diamondbacks, I can deal with the Mr Reds of the world handily. Cut them if they stand, shoot them if they run.

Is this where we come to stop posting to Rex's last post? Cool

C'mon over to the relatioships forum if you'd like to dump, Rex. We're pretty good listeners over there.

Hey Rex, sorry to hear about the down times. I'm guessing many of us been there.

And you're right, when you find a fellow poster reacting in a foul or pissy way, its always good to remember that you dont know what is going on in this person's life - it might be anything, all kinds of things, and his/her reaction probably got nothing to do with you.

Take care of yourself, Rex. Oh, and yes - if you're thinking of taking a break, why not just take a break from the Politics and Spirituality & Religion forums, and spend some time in the more congenial corners of A2K instead?

I guess I am just too uptight sometimes.

I was talking in a private message today with an A2K member. They suggested that maybe I should participate in some of the more jovial threads. I remarked that I hate to hear people laughing. (laugh tracks)

It bothers me that people are laughing while other are suffering so much.

Then I suddenly realized that laughing is a way of helping us through the suffering. It never really occurred to me.

WITH YOUR FACE TO THE WIND

With your face to the wind, I see you smilin' again
Spirit's movin' within, I know that you're gonna win

You've been down this road before
Somethin' inside tells you what's in store
Gotta remember what we're all here for
Ya gotta eat up the apple and spit out the core

With your face to the wind, I see you smilin' again
Spirit's movin' within, I know that you're gonna win

You can get angry, you can curse
You can shout it out in rhyme or verse
And you can tell me that it's never been worse
Then take that old sows ear and turn it into a purse

With your face to the wind, I see you smilin' again
Spirit's movin' within, I know that you're gonna win

There are gifts that come like the rain
They make the plants grow, they drench you all the same
And there are gifts that took you years to see
Like the gift of the friend that you've been to me

Yes there are hands here to comfort you
And if you need there are tears to cry with you too
And there are hearts that will sing with you
And voices to cheer when you've finally made it through

With your face to the wind, I see you smilin' again
Spirit's movin' within, I know that you're gonna win

Sometimes it takes the dark to let us see the light
You can't have that victory unless you've fought the fight
Sometimes it takes a winding road to lead us home
While you're windin' 'round my friend just don't go windin' 'round alone

With your face to the wind, I see you smilin' again
Spirit's movin' within, I know that you're gonna win

Peter, Paul & Mary

Thanks Lash
