i had the digital pictures from our cruise downloaded onto a CD by a photoshop .
these were the 'raw' (unedited) pictures .
the CD plays on the DVD-player/TV without any problem .
after some editing i copied/burned the - edited - pictures onto a CD and also a DVD .
the (new) discs run fine on the computer but when i want to show them on the TV , the message 'wrong disc' shows on the TV screen .
do i have to do any special 'initializing' before burning the discs to make them acceptable to the DVD-player/TV ?
i've tried the windows 'help' , but haven't found an answer .
anyone know how to kickstart the disc ?
thanks !

Its not a matter of "initializing"; quite the opposite, in fact. To function on devices other than a computer's optical drive, disks must be "closed" or "finalized". Not infrequently, unfinalized disks will work fine when placed in the same drive that burned them on the computer that made them, but not from another optical drive on that computer or on any other computer, let alone a stand-alone, non-computer device. Consult your disk burning software's documentation for specifics.
