I don't have much time because of my exams, so i'll just do the first one. These seem pretty basic tough.

1)

( (1/a)+ (1/b) ) / (a+b)

Multiply with ab.

(b+a) / ( (a+b)(ab) ) =

Divide with (a+b)

1/ab (d is correct)

Ok, the 2nd one:

No need to even use the calculator . 4^-0,5 = 1/2

X = -0,5

a)a/2
b)square root a/2
c)square root a
d)a (square root 2)/2
e) a

From the Pythagorean Theorem, if the length of a side is S:

S^2 + S^2 = a^2
2 S^2 = a^2
S^2 = a^2/2
S = a/SQRT(2)

which is equivqalent to choice d.

4) I see no question. Ok, so there is a line passing those points. So what?

5) 1/cos
Just use the definitions of cos sin and tan.

6) I wasn't born with english. What do they mean with evaluate this number? None of the possible answers are equal to sin (pi/3).

7) I don't understand the question. Is there a function in there?

8) Integral from 1 to 3 and we find out its 24,666. Divide with 3 and its 8,22. Maybe the answer is 8.

9) Find the intersection between the function given and the linear function f(x)= one million. Or do it in another way. Anyways the answer is 15,8.

In my opinion some of the questions could have been formulated clearer.

Slope of a line = change in y/change in x; the slope of a line passing between two points = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) or 4-5/3-1 or -1/2 (d).

From looking at the pattern of the responses (and back-checking the possible responses from the answer list) choice d) 4x+-1 is the function and f(3) = 4*3+-1 = 11 is the answer (c).

I don't understand question 9. Can you explain it to me again. Is that P(t)=149317^12t What is .12t is that a typo?
