I've told people that when they film my life (which will never happen) I want to be played by Jeremy Irons:

How on EARTH did I forget Joanna Lumley.

Beautiful...elegant...intelligent...and one hell of a wicked sense of humour!

She plays the drunk on "Absolutely Fabulous"

Here she is......AGED 60!!

Here are two "stills" taken whilst filming the series.

This was about three years ago, so she would have been 57 then!!

....AND LOOK AT THAT FIGURE.......

She's even sexy whilst going to the loo.

Bjork turned 40 last year...

I love this series of pictures... but I suppose thats not fair, cause most of 'em were probably from before she was 40 (in the above she must have been 39)

Tori Amos is in her 40's. She's pretty damn sexy squirming around on stage. Of course I'm the only male fan of hers in the country who would actually have sex with her, rather than just comment on how fabulous her shoes are.

Yes, Jeremy Irons is definately doable.

Joanna Lumley....wow, she's 60!?

I love her as Patsy....that hair is to die for.

wow, she sure is impressive.

Nimh, I like that picture of Bjork where's she's reading that huge book...what did she do with her eyebrows?

See, stuff like that is what makes people interesting looking.

Now, this is what I call a matinee idol (Brian Stokes Mitchell, age 48)

Ditto for this guy (James Naughton, age 60)

And D'artagnan, if Jeremy Irons can play you in the movie version of your life, I don't see why Kristin Scott Thomas (age 46) can't play me.

Hmmm, I like a lot of asian males personally, da thump, but none of you would recognize them.

One of the more charismatic guys I've known, not a lover, was an early design teacher of mine from Japan. Total sense of self walking... and he was short, I have no idea how short. Hair that just flew. Mind that caught ideas. Wore suits from Paris.. or at least we thought they were.

I was invited to collaborate over the years and on one of those projects I arrived at his family home and studio, very private from the (former) school situation. A sweet cottage. He was and is still cool, but more dimensional than that figure of style.

So, what, I like thinking of all these examples of sexy in their real lives.

I have always had a major thing for older men, even when I was a teenager.

This is the movie they posed for in the hottest picture I can remember. In it, they're both dressed like Newman is in this one.

Smoldering.

The other man that turned me on ...always....was Richard Burton circa mid 70's. In his forties. Craggy, manly, but some indescribable charisma....effortless charm... his voice. I despised Elizabeth Taylor. <heh> I thought she ruined his career.

<of course, she DID!>

I'll try to remember some others.

Nice pic of Billy Bob, I totally got why he attracted Angelina while most guys I know were like "what? WHAT??"

Speaking of which, he's a cliche but he is 43:

He was just surreally amazingly hot in "Thelma and Louise," seems to be aging well.

Burton, you got it. The voice.

I gotta say, a fair part of why I loved my husband was his voice.

Finney was interesting early, 'fore he turned all-pudge. And let me not disparage fat, some of it is ok with me, certainly more ok than builtbody time. And past that, it's a health problem.

Lessee, trying to figure myself out here. I guess I like eyes.. stance...voice..

and yet those are so ephermeral, as in, ten hours... with no light behind those eyes... fizzle.

Some of the folks who I found attractive in the movies with light behind the eyes turned out to be gay, or purported so. I have famously to myself found gay men sexy, or gay man sexy.

Among those, Dirk Bogarde was always a favorite of mine. Brain working.
Not that he was always right, from a bit I read at some point. But, brain behind eyes and voice.

Gotta tell you yet again, I had by fortune many actors and actresses at my house for dinner and endless drinkies. Do not assume brains are present in force. (Directors may be worse.)

See.. and that is exactly my point when I say that I dont like what american film crews call sexy in an asian man.
According to america, they have to look a certain way, and not BE a certain way.

CI?
I have the hots for him . I really do.
THAT is my idea of a sexy asian man.

Iggy! Well, duh...

Girl in my high school class had the hots for Iggy ... strong body, strong personality, and a hefty dose of attitude and energy.

I thought it was funny tho, in Jarmusch's (slightly annoying) in-between movie Coffee & Cigarettes, theres this part with Iggy and Tom Waits - and they're like the opposite of what I would have expected. Iggy is nice-guy kind- and openhearted and a bit little-boy excited in his clear admiration and eagerness-to-please; Waits has the cooler-than-thou, hypersensitive (bad) attitude goin on.

Made me like Iggy even more ;-)
