John Kenneth Galbraith-- (October 15, 1908 - April 29, 2006) was an influential Canadian-American economist of the 20th century who served in the administrations of Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, and Johnson, as well as serving as Ambassador to India. He was also a prolific writer and one of the few two-time time recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
