Dr Tom Horton, Snr - late patriarch of the Horton clan, the family around which "Days of Our Lives" weaved its spell. Played by Macdonald Carey(from 1965-1994), Dr Tom will be forever remembered for his immortal line "Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives."
