Damn, that's a long story! :wink:

I actually pared it down by nearly half. I don't know how long a link would be good, so opted for the lengthy version. I know many hate that sort of thing, but, I do what I feel is right for each post I make.

Well, I've given up using links, as with these kinds of stories, they're only good for a few days sometimes.

A few years back, Marvin helped me get my Income Tax check. After about eight months of warrentless delays, I contacted him by email. He immediately put me in contact with someone who over-rode the delaying tactics being used and got me a check. Otherwise, I don't know for sure if they would have released it.

Oh! I just read about this today in the Houston Chronicle! It is so sad! He has been on the air here for as long as I can remember watching the news.

He was such an interesting character. Larger than life.
