Used to be able to purchase cornichon seeds from Shepherd's Seeds. Descendants Renee's Garden does not sell them?
Ideas?
Sources?
Should I just pick immature cukes?
Have you tried finding the Gherkin Cucumbers to plant?
Quinn,
thanks so much for the info on SeedsWest. I will write to them today!
Gen,
What a fascinating website. Let me return the favor with a site I discovered today:
www.50states.com
filled with all sorts of info: cities, colleges, state songs, more!
Actually, cornichons are smaller than gherkins.
Some varities are to be found (and to be bought) here:

Walter,
I am going to send for seeds from both companies and see which one turns out better.
The Baker Creek Co has both purple and white tomatoes! Did any of you ever read the children's book, Bunnicula? It is about a vampire bunny. The cat and dog that Bunnicula live with find things like white tomatoes about the house because Bunnicula sucks out the "blood." LOL!!!
Gen,
Went to several garden centers over the years to look for cornichon plants. No luck. Had trouble finding a recipe that first cornichon year when I had an abundance of tiny cukes.
My gardens have been disasters since. Let the garden lie fallow last year.
Bought a pickling cook book. Hope for cornichons this year!
