I just stumbled across this article not too long ago. Unfortunately, it's too long to quote and I don't have access to it (unless of course, I want to pay $25... an exorbitant price for one article, I must add).

Webpage Consequences of erudite vernacular utilized irrespective of necessity: problems with using long words needlessly

The abstract is rather amusing in a way. Some people might think it is erudite vernacular utilised irrespective of necessity. I think it's absolutely funny.
