I do try and google the answers I cannot find in my reference books, but when it is stalemate and I can't get my head round the question, I know I can get clues and help from Able2Know, thanks to all who help.
Alarming, Alienator, Collapse, Diabolical, Escallop, Importunate, Integral, Marginal, Permutation, Rationale, Triangle. Which of the above words is the odd word out? (Note there is one answer which is much 'better' than any possible others and is the only one which can be accepted!). All help greatly appreciated.
Welcome to A2K, upandrunning. I am not certain what you are asking. Since escallop has mostly to do with food (bi-valve creatures, etc)I would say that is the odd one.
Perhaps you should explain the situation more clearly.
Hi Letty, Thanks for the welcome. I have posted the question as it appears on my Quiz Sheet. I can see why you chose escallop as indeed it is a creature and food! I thought maybe I was missing something, as it seemed so easy. i think there must be another, very devious, answer. Thanks for answering.

"Diabolical" is the only word that doesn't make an anagram, and so is the odd word out. :wink:
