Does anyone have any expertise or experience with Striped Squill?

Puschkinia Libanotica

I planted the bulbs last fall and they were very nice beside the crocus but, certainly small and short lasting really.
I wouldnt mind some more but, every thing I have looked at says
#1 They are invasive on their own
#2 You can easily divide
#3 Naturalizes well on it own

I never expected the seed pods that appeared this weekend. Interesting that I cant find any information on the web on the seeds so, I'm wondering where to go from here with them, if at all.

Much appreciation for any help to this new garden Smile

1,2 and 3 are true.

I started with 3 (or maybe it was 5) bulbs after 4 years ago. A conservative estimate would say there were 60 - 80 stems of them this year.

Shocked

And you did nothing to assist?

My - maybe I should just leave them alone then. humm.

On one bunch I got these great seed pods - on the other bunch - nothing--do you get those? Do you do anything with them?

thanks!

I did nothing.

I haven't watered in 4 years now.

My only involvement in the front yard where the squills are - pulling out the clumps of grass that keep wanting to move in Shocked , and cutting back the saskatoonberry push and coloured spirea.

oh - and I chop the leaves of all of the bulbs off about 3 inches above the 'shoulder' once flowering's complete.

You havent watered in ---how long?? hahaha - thats fabulous - good for you - I'm thinking of the rain barrel thing since its just crazy doing the bucket thing - I have no outside spicket.

You cut back the greens, eh? They are pretty much a pain - not even pretty like the crocus.
