Pineapple Plant

JHS, Where did you get your pineapple plant from? If it was a nursery, ask them what you should do about having two pineapples on one vine.

On my visit to Costa Rica in February, we visited a pineapple plantation, and we saw many vines with more than one pineapple fruit.

You can also call your local agricultural school to ask them the question. Goo d luck.

as a general rule for any fruiting plant if you want more but smaller fruit (which is sometimes handy in a domestic situation) leave both/all fruit on. If you want a bigger fruit cut one/some away.

I'd go for two smaller ones myself, pick one, eat and enjoy then couple of days later pick the other. I wonder if they will both ripen up at the same time

watch out though, getting the rough end of a pineaple can be nasty

It ripens slower on the vine. Dadpad's idea sounds like the best option. Besides, the best time to eat a pineapple is when it's fresh off the plant.
