I found that bone in France, in a layer from the cretace. Is it possible to guess from which animal it comes from ?

But since the left part of the fossil seems to have been destroyed, I have completed the image with the right part of the fossil in order to get a better image.

So do you guys have any idea?

I found it in Basse Normandie : it is the North of France.
Jespah, is "farmermam" a pseudonim ? or do you mean I should ask the farmer to tell me which bone it is? Because in that case, I can assure you, He doesn't know what is a fossil Laughing

In fact, I think I have an idea of what bone it is : it is obviously a vertebra. But what I didn't manage to find out is " from which animal".
I have had a look on the internet, and I found it is not a fish vertebra, it is not a crocodile vertebra. It may be a dinosaure vertebra but I am not sure. I would like a confirmation, and maybe if somebody could tell me which species, it would be great Razz

Doesn't look like a dinosaure vertebra but probably a mammalian.

Some useful sites, in French:

Basse Normandie

Fossiles Pays de Caux
