Confusing math question

I took a math quiz today asking me to define a plane perpendicular to the vector (3,-2,1) and through the point (2,0,-7), or some similar problem. This, of course, is the plane 3x-2y+z=-1, and that's what I wrote for my answer.
However, the confusing part is that the question asked for the plane defined in parametric form. I was under the impression that planes couldn't be defined parametrically. Was this just a typo on the quiz or did I get a question wrong?

I think you could decribe this parametrically as s(x,y) = (3x,-2y,2y-3x-1).

Yah, I guess that makes sense. I still don't remember him ever teaching us that though... Hopefully I'll get at least partial credit.
