Woman visiting huband's grave killed by own car
NEW YORK - A 76-year-old woman who drove to a cemetery to visit her husband's grave has been killed by her own car.
The woman inadvertently left the car running and in gear when she stopped at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Queens Sunday afternoon, police said.
She was about 50 feet from her husband's grave when the car mowed her down. She died at the scene.
Police say no criminality is suspected.
I hope that car gets the chair.
Sounds like a very grave matter.
Was anyone else hearse?
Didn't she say she wanted to look "flat" in her new swim suit?
Show some respect for this tread. She was obviously overrun with grief.
She had no regrets, I'm sure. She always lived by the motto-- car-pe diem!
I heard she was humming "Big wheel keep on toinin' " at the time.
Rollin, rollin, rollin on a widow.

Well, I guess she learned that lesson the hard way.
Oh...my....Gawd....
I can't BELIEVE this didn't even get one serious response before you all started punning. You're all going to hell!
We'll be in good company.

Of course, that would suppose that one believes in a "Hell".
In my opinion, "hell" is here, now.

You could talk about a female ailment, or sumptin'?

I don't think the puns are quite that bad, Reyn!
(Close, but not quite.)

No, I didn't mean that. I was just referring in general. Life on this planet.
Well, at least we were sensitive enough to skirt the road kill jokes.
It must've been awful to die tired.
Good thing the car didn't back up though or she'd have been re-tired when she died.
