13a Wheel Slide, I have ?K?D (Would it be skid?) Question

You're on the right track! SKID is the answer.

Are you talking about the "Monster - Colossus" 6a & 8d?

I have "equably" for 6a and "been" for 8d for that puzzle.

Let's now if these are the answers you're after? If not, quote the particular puzzle from the Holiday issue and the clues please.
