I live in the Sutherland Shire, been here for years
but was born in Port Moresby PNG.

One of the better areas, even with the bad press. And it's got to be safer than Port Moresby....

Yes, PNG is not safe any more but I had a wonderful childhood there and I try to
remember that time rather than now.

My family came within a gnats hair of moving there with my dad's work when I was about 8 - in the end he decided it was no place for a young family.

My parents met and married in Port Moresby so I
really didn't have any choice although we always
came to Australia for holidays.

I left there when I was 21 and have lived in Sydney
since then although my parents settled in Qld (my
mother still lives in Brisbane).

I have two grown up daughters and 5 grandchildren now.
