I think I'll plant flowers on my shed roof.

Once again, I have just watched "Gardener's World" on the BBC, and am inspired.

What a great programme!

I am putting up a new shed soon, and have now decided to have a go at having plants grow out of my roof.

Anyone interested in gardening, should look in on their website from time to time, as it has some really good tips and ideas. This week was mainly devoted to creating a garden on a budget.

Neat website.

There's a piano which has been transformed into a planter in the next town over.....

Capital idea, y'r Lordship. Myself, I have moss growing on the roof of my shed. Rather pretty it is, too. And the Almighty waters it for me from time to time. (The passing birds provide manure for nourishment.)

There was a great tip for this not so long ago.

Take eight feet of twine and attach pots at six inch intervals. Plant cannabis in each pot, and suspend twine from tree branch, thereby preventing slug damage to tender shoots.

After three months, you will have dope on a rope.

Some more examples via a commercial, professional website (green roofs are not seldom here, we even have a couple [smaller] housing areas completely done like that.)
(A couple of books help us Germans with that  )

Weve gotten some much needed rain. Ive tilled my garden and have only planted red onions and deertongue lettuce and some mixed greens. Ive also plowed , limed, disked and planted 2 20 acre fields of new hay. Everything was just sitting there cause it was so dry. Now with this rain, every little plant will pop.
I feel like going to the garden center and buying some Basil plants and some tomatoes. (bit early for them yet,we can still get a frost in mAy)
