I had a dream last night where I heard a song I hadn't heard for ages. It felt like it was a 60s or 70s song, a somewhat lush arrangement, somewhat overwrought.
The lyric was basically a child pleading for his/her parents to have another child.
I woke up thinking that I knew the song (and that it was pretty popular) but I hadn't heard it for decades. Now it's a bit later I'm not so sure.
Was I actually remembering a real song? Or did Mr subconscious invent it?
I can't place it hinge...sorry
Thanks Panz - if it doesn't nag your huge musical memory pool then maybe it was a phantom.

nahhh...old age has robbed me blind
Could it have been an Aussie song that didn't cross the big pond?
Maybe doc, but first impressions weren't that way, if only because oz music in the 60s and 70s didn't generally have fantastic production values. Will ponder that some more though, thanks.
I think that was the famous "Please Please Momma and Papa, Have Another Child", by Big Ernie Lipscomb and the All Star Tuba Band.
No it's not, I've got Big Ernie's complete back catalogue high rotation most days. You must have missed that I said I hadn't heard it for ages.
