From what I know of the people who toss the word "diabolical" around, the shape being disapproved of is probably phallic.
Hmmmmm...how odd..... I would have guessed, if we were considering body parts, that the creators of "diabolical" would have seen the vagina, breasts, or clitoris as far more its template.
