I've learned to never ever go into a place even for a "quick trim" when they have a "Now Hiring!" sign in their window.

My hair had always been my crowning glory........sniff.


down loose, straight or wavy, ponytails high or low...chignon or I Dream of Genie, french twists or piled on top of my head....spiky bangs or brushed to the side, head bands and combs.....for private moments, even cheerleader double pony tails.....

sniff....it'll take weeks.....

It's getting hot out... maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

I was just thinking of chopping mine off for the summer.

The worst hair cut I ever got in my life was in Italy. In the afternoon we went to the Sistine Chapel and I saw this image:



On the way back to the hotel I bought a couple of beautiful big scarves and tied up what was left of my hair. I had some bangs in the front and there was enough for short french braid in the back. Turned out to be a good way to camouflage a bad cut until it grew back and I still use the style when I want to keep my hair manageable when working.

Assuming you are not a Barbie doll, I'm sure it will soon return to normal.

I'M not...I have impossible cow licks all over my head, it's the weight that kept them down.

Green Witch, braids are one thing I don't do....In one inch I'll be able to get it up in a french twist, I'll be fine then.

Right now it's the shake your head fullness I miss, that just laid look you can get with the flip of your head.

I feel like a bird with her wings clipped. I'm grounded and can't fly.

Getting tired of being middle-aged with thinning hair, I decided to go all out and shaved my head last night.

Not a horrendous look, but not really for me, I think. I may do it again at the beach, as my choice for the last 8 years has been ballcap or sunburn. At last, I can just slather sunscreen on my head.
