HARL is C: a scottish word meaning to drag along the ground.
I keep a book that I put all extra hard clues and answers in, so it is excellent for referring at times like this.
Regards and good luck Bev

Hi Melissa.
I was stuck on that one too. Only Scottish reference I could find was for rough casting of walls.
Glad I found this site and someone else with the same problem.

Yes....that's it.....I had 'deny' for 5D.
Happy Easter to you Butterfly....It's kinda nice getting older and not getting woken up by the kids at 5am isn't it?....
I remember Christine saying in her editorial this issue that it's ok to have coffee cup marks on your crossword as long as the answers were still readable.
I hope she feels the same about chocolate....* licks fingers*

Thanx
I am somewhat surprised that someone knows of the existance of words such as cadastral and diedre, let alone their meanings. Diedre is not even in any of the six dictionaries I use.

Hi lensf,
It's nice to talk to you again!
I found 'Diedre' in the large edition 'Collins English Dictionary'
Definition:
Diedre- French. n. Mountaineering. A large shallow groove or corner in a rock face.
Hope this helps.
Post again if you get stuck.
