(Hi Lezzles, re: Puzzle 46 - 'wacke' led me on a merry chase for a while until I found it to be "an alternative of wacky" in just a few of the online dictionaries.
My large Collins and Oxford dictionaries at home only gave the definition below:
Wacke- n obsolete Any of various soft earthy rocks that resemble or are derived from basaltic rocks [C18:from German: rock, gravel, basalt]
No wonder it threw us off the trail! Very tricky indeed, our friend Vinsan! Laughing
