From what you've said thus far, I really think it's how you're using the code, and not Firefox.

I use Firefox and don't have any problems.

Nope, not with brackets. I think it worked the way it did because I used copy and paste. I'll try again without that.

You have to have both the opening tag

and the closing tag

for it to work.

Internet Explorer, you can highlight the text to be modified, then click the B i or U button. I don't think it works on Firefox right now.

Also, some text doesn't appear as bold on my screen until I zoom in. Depends on the font, and my screen resolution.
