Some time ago I found that I couldn't use the Bold, Italic, etc features in replying to A2K topics.
I tried getting help on Firefox forums, but don't think it worked. Now I am going to try underlining a word. If it works, then I'll know all is well, but if not, I'll go back to FF unless anyone here has a suggestion.
I don't think this will work.
Well, it didn't work. So back to Mozillazine and the FF forums.
But I'd still appreciate help here. I know I asked about this before, but couldn't find the post; sorry if this is repetitious, but the problem still exists.
Try clicking "bold" both before and after the word you want in bold.

but when you hit "Submit" it makes the word bold.
I can't make it show up right....

Or, you could simply highlight whatever text you want to emphasize and then click on bold, italics, or underline.
On Opera I have to put the things that make words bold etc in manually.
When I click, the necessary whatsits appear...but both appear AFTER the word or words in question.
The first one has to go in front.
Oh! I see - They're all different I guess.
Tomkitten, If you remove the spaces before and after the words bold, italic and underline below, you should have it I think. Boomer had the right idea, just missing the backslash.

Huh. I tried separating it onto different lines, but that didn't work, either.

Joeblow - the point is that that's exactly what doesn't work.
Boomerang - It worked! B then word then B or whatever. Thanks so much - I've been going nuts trying to cope with this. Now maybe I'll get some sleep.
Now, if someone would just tell me how to work the Quote feature...
