Jaina -- which aspects remained unclear to you after you had read the tutorial? Perhaps I can explain them -- I used to do research in spectroscopy. But the topic is rather broad, and I would find it hard to explain from scratch. It's better if we start with Phoenix's tutorial and take it from there.
