Airline fires pilots found nude in cockpit. Southwest Airlines has fired two pilots who reportedly took off all or part of their clothes in the cockpit while in flight, then summoned a flight attendant to bring them paper towels and soda water. "We conducted a thrugh investigation and terminated the two pilots for inappropriate conduct," Southwest Airlines spokeswoman Ginger Hardage said Friday.
Perhaps they should have considered dry cleaners?
Hmm, there was a thread about a nudist flight to Cancun or some resort. I think the most common reaction was, "oooh, ick."
For me as a passenger, I'd far prefer the pilots to be nude and sober than fully clothed and drunk, especially if they remained in the cockpit (that word takes on a whole new meaning, doesn't it?).
If the airplane I fly in has the most skilled ans sober pilots in the world, I wouldn't care how they dress or don't dress.

yeah but if they monoplize the flight attendant where does that leave me?
are you dressed or undressed?
Well Dys, are you a pilot?
Margo's question also needs to be answered, just in case you aren't piloting the plane.
Chances are the flight attendant chose not to remain in the cockpit any longer than necessary, giving her plenty of time to take care of you; but after her experience in the cockpit, she probably wasn't in a very good mood. Actually, you might be in trouble, taking the brunt of her anger as she exits the cockpit. Poor Dys.
Keep your seat belt fastened.
I had two SW flights this month, and two out of three attendents were guys. So, were they expressing preference or taking pot luck?
But hey, if you make advance reservations these days, you want an airline that will be there when scheduled. Southwest seems like the good bet.
I never did figure out why the polits were naked. Does anyone know?
I know I'd like to know! Of course I am only interested in knowing the facts on important issues such as this ;-)
facts get in the way of a good story
dys, All the way? Some flights are 24 hours long. Where will it get you? To yur destination.

Dys, when flying United, have you joined any clubs?
longest flight i have taken was Denver Colo to Sydney Oz, 17 hrs (i think) and it was cosy.
Ah hah, that is the kind of ambiguous answer that can set my imagination spinning for the next couple of hours. LOL.
No big deal. I drive my car naked daily.
Jeesh, nothing exciting like that ever happens to me when I'm on a flight! Talk about the mile high club!
