This is for a local trivia contest, but it's really a riddle.
Name the shipwreck based on the following 5 clues:
1) adding the sum of the digits of the year it was built to the year it was sunk equals 29
2) sum of the digits of the year it was built minus 5 is equal to the sum of the digits of the year it was sunk.
3)The ship's official number is 6 digits with 2 and 0 being the first and second digits.
4)Last 4 digits divided by the first digit, rounded up is equal to the year this shipwreck was discovered.
5)Number of the contest holds a clue to the body of water, and this is the 27th.
So far, we know that the sum of the digits of the year it was built is 17, while the sum of the digits of the year it sank is 12.
27 might be a longitudinal measurement.
I'm thinking right now that the first digit of both years will be the same.
Can you tell me how you came to this conclusion?
"So far, we know that the sum of the digits of the year it was built is 17, while the sum of the digits of the year it sank is 12."
And what numbers you came up with. Thanks.
