I know you have already solved the clues now, but I was wondering if you could tell me if I have the right answers for them?

Canadian channels = Snies (dry flood channels)
whale =sei
Nova Scotia = NS
rears = backwards
'sei' +'ns' backwards = 'snies'

The best I have been able to come up with for 31A. is 'bold'
book = 'B' abreviated
antique-like = 'old'
'B' set with 'old' = 'bold'
I wasn't able to find the overall part of the clue that justifies 'bold' as the answer, so I'm not sure if it's correct or not

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

You got 26D right. 31A. I arrived at 'B' type of print and 'old' for antique = 'BOLD'
