I realized that I breathed some in when I noticed my chest begin to tighten. It was just a light tightening, if you know what I mean, and it didn't hurt. It was just uncomfortable. It feels kinda like pushing against my rib cage.
Anyways, nothing serious will happen, would it?
Depends upon the concentration and duration. High concentration can result in ling edema. Chronic exposure can lead to long term lung damage.
However, if the pain (and coughing as the result of continued edema) have subsided I wouldn't worry.
BTW we are all exposed to some level of NO2 as the result of combustion, particularlyfrom propane powered engines used indoors (e,g, Zamboni's), welding fumes and urban diesel engines.
