Dear Cliff Hanger! May I suggest you look at the website of e.g. Christians in Politics , an organisation managed jointly by the Christian Socialist Movement, the Conservative Christian Fellowship and the Liberal Democrat Christian Forum ... and then rethink what you wrote?

There's a great line in Michael Herr's "Dispatches" that I have committed to memory. Herr was embedded (as we would now say) with an American unit in Vietnam, and they were under fire. A soldier showed Herr a rifle, and asked,
