Roll on the Poms - we'll be playing them next Saturday and, if we win, we'll be Champions of the northern hemisphere for 2006. (would be nice to achieve that on St. Paddy's weekend)

Thanks butterfly. It will be very difficult - England are a strong side, especially on their home patch, where Ireland rarely win.

Enought 'bout that. Tell me, is there an Aussie equivalent to St. Patrick's Day? A national independance day or suchlike?

Very good morning to you lmur. These are "stubbies", small bottles of beer (375ml) served ice-cold and kept cool with a "stubby holder" on hot days. Aussie blokes drink straight from the bottle, no glass, but the ladies are more sophisticated and use a glass. Hope this fills you in. Laughing

Thanks again, Dutch. I must revisit the Connect the Picture thread where you posted the Guide to Aussie beer measures!

Oh, and I'm more than amused by what passes for "sophistication" amongst the Sheilas. Laughing
