Please, let me think something to type!
Quite a bit of time has elapsed since you wrote that, and we're still waiting.
Really doesn't seem worth the wait, eh Dutchy?
Shall go and do something else to pass the time, have a very good book, which will keep me spellbound.
tell me the name of the "book" that keeps u spellbound..i thought the bear wouldnt rest for less
Up and away. The name of the book is "Shantaram" and involves an Australian criminal who flees to India, it is 900 pages and most events take place in Mumbai. It is a true story
Very large does the book, "Shantaram", seem to be. Why would an Australian criminal flee to India?
Well you read the book Wainui and find out, most intriguing.
x-tremely interested in your book, Dutchy - how's it going?
You know I'm not an avid reader but this one holds me spellbound. Get hold of it w/v it will be right up your alley!
Zounds! No one has been here for ages, and yet I am so bored that I post in hope of a revival?!
Appreciate you re-viving this thread Dev, I certainly will contribute after every posting. No need to be bored with Dutchy around.
But we must have a good topic of conversation; how about 'interesting people I've met'?
Can do, Clary. Now let me think ... I once LITERALLY almost ran into Tip O'neill when I was a kid. It was the opening of the Gerald R. Ford museum, a big to-do, since Ford was from my town. The man had the hugest honker I'd ever seen!
Dev, that's a good story! My son served dinner to Pres Clinton and Madeleine Albright, but that was him and not me, I have had no genuinely famous encounters.
Eh! Your life is so fascinating, Clary, that you hardly need a famous person story to make you more interesting! Waiting to hear any story you want to tell!
Famous people I met in my life are plenty. Just to name a few The Beatles, The late Polish Pope and Queen Elizabeth. Prince Phillip served us a cup of tea once on the Brittania during a cold night shift, all in the line of duty of course! There was also Donald Campbell, the world land race speed record holder.
Great! You are such a lucky man, Dutchy.
How goes the trip, Dutch-? Hope you're having a marvelous time!
interesting Dev that you have revived ths thread. Ive met Aishwarya Rai - the Miss World in 1994.
