quite well stated young lady, hard to join a conversation where only a few words are spoken.
Really don't know a lot about extreme sports either!
Sports should be enjoyed, not scary like extreme sports are.
They actually are fun to watch - I just think I like more strategic games.
Under the impression we were talking about 'blood' sports, like bullfights or cock fights.
Very surprised to find those are considered sports at all...I think of extreme sports as snowboarding or skateboarding or motocross - things like that I guess....
Well you could be right, and I agree they could be fun to watch, have done snowboarding and that was a laugh a minute.
x-treme sports I have tried are Skateboarding and Rollerblading...but quite honestly my doing either of those two are NOT extreme...I am quite conservative...now water skiing that is different - but I don't think that is considered extreme....
You are a woman of many talents having done all those sports. I do think water skiing can be extreme though, tried barefoot skiing or trick skiing?
Zipping in here (ugh) to say I tried barefoot - never perfected it...couldn't get up for some reason - but I only tried it a couple of times and decided I would just rather slolam - it was more fun...I could turn backwards and spin around and jump my wake on a trick ski but that was as far as I got...but it was great fun. I loved knee boarding as well...was a little more daring with that...hurt myself many, many times doing that! Didn't always make it around and busted...lots of swallowed river water and bruises! Haven't had the opportunity to try in a few years...last time all they had was a trick ski and I had a heck of a time getting up...lost all those muscles I used back when I did it every weekend...I needed a slolam with the fin to stabilize me - but they didn't have one...very disappointing.
Ah, have done all those things you so vividly describe, and like you never made the grade, lot of spills and bruises too! Lived in Sweden for a while where I learned to snow ski, tried ski jumping a few times but always came a gutser and gave it up in the end.
Bet snow skiing is fun - the only time I did it was in Tennessee and the snow was rather icy - not real powdery - totally screwed my knee up getting off the ski-lift...I was like a human bowling ball - I swear the people there are a little dense...they clumped in a huddle right down from where you get off the ski lift...I came off the ski lift it was very icy - couldn't get my skis to get traction to stop...plowed them all down...strike! Horrible experience. Embarrassing
Can't ski. It's me. There's no snow in Indonesia. We just have two seasons namely dry and wet. So sad.
Doesn't water skiing appeal to you Mr. Nice? You can have a lot fun and spills doing that.
Eventually I want to go to Colorado to try snow skiing - think that would be awesome
Famous place that, have heard and seen quite a bit of Aspen, been told it is very expensive though. Hope you make it one day.
Hoping to make it to the Australian Alps again one day. Our snow season only last from June to October but is very, very popular but even more expensive. Against it is also the distance, 500 odd miles from here.
Just imagine being on a roller coaster ride when swishing down the mountain at 60 miles per hour, really get the adrenalin going. Wow.
