Funny that sex should creep into this conversation. Does your vaccine kill that dreaded birds disease, up your pensions or create rain for us Clary?
Guess you don't know I'm talking about the bird flu vaccine, but since we'll be dead before it's developed it won't matter what else it can do.
Had a fair idea what you were talking about but deliberately mixed up the various current issues going around.
I see, your aim is more to obfuscate than clarify!
Just a bit of flummery on my part I suppose, can't be to pensive before going to the local.
Keeping fit is quite fun really, interesting I haven't done it very wholeheartedly for 59 years; I suppose I used to have a life.
Looks (or sounds) like you're a bit down today.
Mmmm, a bit. It's having a German lodger who has that uncanny ability to make one feel awkward; he is not a relaxed person and has no light conversation nor sense of humour - enough to put anyone in a bit of a downmood at mealtimes!
No downmoods here today but lots of downpours! Just had a weekend of beautiful welcome rains, it soaked the gardens and filled the raintanks, unfortunately not enough run off to fill the water reservoirs.
Offerings to the gods required no doubt.
Praying for more, would appear they have been answered as more rain is forecast. You beauty.
Questions have arisen in my neck of the woods as to the veracity of the local council. Other surrounding areas are rejoicing in the rise of their water reserves, yet our council is still crying "14% capacity". Some say they are looking for excuses to raise the rates.
Raising rates seems to be a particularly popular pasttime of certain governing bodies.
State Government of South Australia is worse than your Council Lezzles, they slugged us with a once only water emergency levy 12 years ago, but sofar they have not recinded it, we now have a new Government and they also keep slugging us.
Typical of the ever-greedy maw of local government; I have to pay 1/9 of my monthly income on them, and £50 on water as well, and have seen services diminish over the past 10 years.
Vicious circle it is, since public utilities, like gas, water and power have been privatised, prices have sky rocketed. Now they are in the process of completely privatising our once Government owned telephone net and we'll be at the big conglomerates mercy.
Waste of space, most of them. And when global warming really kicks in, where will they be - helping out? I think not.
X-tremely hard to do without them presently. I do not think I will see global warming in my time but I fear for our next generations, they better start doing something pretty soon.
Yes, adaptation being the key word. Vast underground caverns to live in near underground rivers, perhaps.
Zeroing out on this alphabet and this topic.... We're expecting 70 mm of rain tonight - some of our slopes will be washed away, no doubt!
