Since I am running out of easy things to cook for my students, I wondered if anyone out there has suggestions for tasty meals, able to be done in advance like curry or spag sauce preferably, not costing arms, legs and boomsidaisy.

Twitchetty grub, you mean, alphabetically speaking... And yes, I'll put them on the menu, particularly when YOU come to stay, Dutchy.

Zeroing in to say hi and to ask Dutchy a question, if I may.

Ever do a cryptic crossword in the Dutch language?!

Hi lmur, I am doing plenty of them in English but have never tackled one in Dutch. However if you have a question, put it to me, as I'm still fluent in the Dutch language whether talking or writing.

As it happens, I play a lot of online chess against people from all over the world. A few of my opponents have been from Holland. Next time I play someone from your ancestral home, I'll ask you to correct my messages before I send them, if that's ok with you.

Ever seen this site?

Best guess is that we're up to "B".
Bit of self-discipline required here lads!
Seems, as is the usual male condition, that as soon as the testosterone is allowed to flow, all logical thought is gone.

I'm afraid it is cold showers and birch rods for a nice dose of self-flagellation for you lot!

Couldn't agree more! They do this on every thread... surely there could be a separate thread for Inane and Flirtatious Conversations or something!

Do you ladies ever give up, what's the matter with you, can't you see we're enjoying ourselves? Let your hair down once in a while, join in and don't be so uppish, we never stray for of the straight and narrow. Why ban us to an "inane and flirtatious conversations thread" so you can then call us "male chauvinists"?
