Have to admit, never heard of Port Power. Is that their official name?
My team won the rugger. They're in the European final on 20/5 v Biarritz, from France.

Let me be the first to congratulate you with that mighty performance, and all the best on 20/5 lmur.
Port Power is the official Port Adelaide Football Club in the AFL - see http://portadelaidefc.com.au/
They are playing tonight.
I'm waiting anxiously for June and the WK in Germany to arrive, it will mean all night viewing on the TV.

Maybe if you were Canadian you'd be watching the Stanley Cup... MUCH better than cricket, WAY better than baseball or basketball, and on a par with football (European, that is)... My opinion only, of course!

Never heard of the Stanley Cup, Mame, however Google tells me it is awarded in ice-hockey. Because of your climate I can imagine it would be popular. Aussie Football is also very spectacular but only played in this country.

Physically much tougher as players wear no protection here.

Qualifying Dutchy's earlier remark. There's actually an Aussie Rules League in Paddyland as well, albeit on a much smaller scale. The AFL is shown on our TV screens in a weekly round-up program. Over the past decade or so, our Gaelic footballers take on your lot in an annual "Compromise Rules" Test Series. Quite entertaining as it usually ends up in a bloody free-for-all!!

Round ball that Gaelic football isn't lmur? Our boys are used to play with a ball shaped more like a rugby ball! These fierce encounters between the paddies and the aussies is always a highlight on local TV. The more gorier the better for the ratings.

'S'true, that. Attended one of those battles a couple of years back. Of course, nobody is really au fait with the rules, such as they are, in the Compromise series. In fact, the ad campaign last year stated: "There's no compromise in compromise rules"!
